Las Vegas Race – 2nd place…
we had ALOT OF FUN..
Friday we had alot of electrical issues, frustrating day of working out lil bugs in the car and not really getting any seat time at all. So I got my personal car out there just to get some laps down, it felt great and even though I hadn’t driven here for 3 years or so, I felt right at home on the track. With 460ft/lbs on street tires my car was fun to drive.
The guys worked on car ’till 4am friday night, turns out there was some bad wiring & a dead alternator. Mostly fixed by Saturday AM…
Saturday was good, car felt strong, even in low boost and on old tires.. i knew we had a good car. Practice sessions we were passing alot of cars going through traffic & still posting good lap times. By the end of the afternoon session we were posting the fastest Modified AWD times out of everyone.

Sunday was interesting, started out with alot of black flags, cars wrecking, motors blowing up.. lots of down time, hanging out on pre-grid texting friends and keeping up with face book… but man, it was getting hot.
We were quick, considering the old tires we were running on and sitting good in 2nd place with only 2 tenths behind leader. We had a fresh set of tires lined up and had been running low boost all along… so we felt confident we could take overall win..
First timed session we went out on the old tires, but the tires were bad, understeering real bad on the tight corners and loosing grip overall on the track… we lost a couple off tenths compared to earlier sessions.
Robi & peter hustled and got new Nitto NT01’s mounted for the 2nd and last timed session (thx to Ryan Gates for the tires.. we luv u bud)… based on our earlier times, we knew that with the added boost and new tires we could take 1st place no problem.
2nd timed session, there was a bucket of rocks at every apex on ‘every’ turn…. even in places where it was completely uncalled for…
Ended up running our fastest time through the dirt session, pulling out a 1:43.2 fast lap and only 2 tenths behind the overall modified winning time.
Because of the debris, we got a chance to run an extra session after the fact, but our tranny was shot, no 4th gear…. but thas racing I guess.
Good news are that we are competitive and we have a lot of room for improvement with the car… we are also #2 in the championship standings for the west coast…. so we’ll take take that with a smile…

The track was dirty all day, Chris Rado Asked Jackson to clean prior to the MOD class even starting
JC did not do that on purpose and you guys should know that.
You should of had a man to man with JC
For you guys to create MOB mentality is weak.
Racing is Racing brother.
If you want to be mad you should point the finger at Jackson, he is the one that should have requested The black flag as the rules were clearly stated in the 2010 book.
On a side note i watched you put all 4 off in the first turn after the straight and again in the back straight. that was on you.
Plus you got an extra run session at the end of the day in which you could not break the 1:45 barrier.
Also did anyone besides you get a extra chance to run? like James or Dusty?
For you guys not to aproceh JC about your situation
and make rumors is a “bisch” move.
Not trying to to Bust your blog but the truth is the truth.

I dont know you so I dont write this in anger. I respect your opinion & voice, even though as a friend & partner of JC’s i’m sure you are a little biased and dont see it as the rest of the world that was there that day. I speak the truth, I speak my mind and I speak as I see the world.
Hereth comes the rebuttal…
I didn’t approach JC the day it happened cause I was so pissed about it, I didn’t want the situation to escalate & do something stupid.
We didn’t create a MOB mentality, Mike Cronin was up in the timing booth furious about the situation before I even had a chance to talk to him about it. He protested JC’s driving before me! He saw it all from behind!
Secondly, why didn’t JC come up to me to apologize? or to everyone else that got screwed by his driving… he didn’t even help clean up his mess as the unlimited guys were out there cleaning. You both obviously knew what was going on, so i’m a ‘bisch’ cause I don’t approach you guys, but you guys are cool by posting up on my blog instead of approaching me?
Did you even read my blog post? Did you see the gear teeth photo? I had a fucked tranny on the last run and still ran a 45… and its none of my business wether RL let others run that session or not.
As far as me putting 4 off .. well duh.. when someone sprays the whole track with buckets of rocks that is what happens, why do you think Rado was so pissed? Let me ask you this, how many times did I go off this weekend? and exactly when did I go off? .. kinda a coincidence.. don’t you think.. that I only go off in a turn I never was even close to going off in all weekend except for that session…

1-15.10 Change: Any vehicle or driver who as determined by RTA Officials to have intentionally impeded or obstructed any Competitor during a Time Attack session will lose all times recorded in all sessions run in that Time Attack event. This includes, but is not limited to, purposely spreading debris on the racing surface or placing ones vehicle in such a manor as to limit the other Competitor’s ability to run a clean lap.

I used to consider JC as a friendly acquaintance, not anymore… that was just low down dirty shit and will never be forgotten.
Im a reasonable man. I never talk trash, start drama or bitch, but this was witnessed BY MANY that saw it the same way I did. He owes me a big apology, till then we should probably just stay away from each other.
That was my money session.. and JC ruined it, not only me but many honorable people witnessed it & saw it that way. There is NO doubt in my mind I would have made up 2 tenths and MORE if he didn’t kick up all that dirt. I can appreciate that JC will release some video, but you have to remember, I was right there, I already saw it all.

Mike Cronin complaint to Jackson is a conflict to interest as far as we are concerned .
Mike pretty much owns the series
With that said, you have known JC for years right?
Give the guy a break, in your mind you think he would really do that to ruin you and every one else sessions
He was over driving just like you were.
I was sitting right next to Jamal and Robi when you went off in the first turn from the straight THERE WAS NO DEBRIS in front of you. I watch it with my own eyes….
BTW the reason unlimited was held up was because
they started to lose timing again

I’m not trying to drag you down the tubes as i respect you as a driver.
As you know the series is not doing so well right now and no one knows how long RTA will last
the last thing drivers need right now is a BS drama.

I just think u guys need to open your eyes to what is really going on.
It’s a unorganized organization ,you guys passed tech when your waste gate was dumping in front of the front axels which is against the rules and they let you on the track with out driver gloves again against the rules.
the workers for RTA dont even know what they are looking at.
No one told on you to try and get podium.

Fair enough, I edited my post as I cannot read minds & eventhough I think I know, I am not sure what JC’s intentions were.
You are right though, we dont need BS drama… it’s just that I’ve driven around JC long enough to know that the driving he did on that last session was completely out of character for him.
I am moving on….
